This week, at the Conservative Party Conference, Rebecca Harris MP visited the Guide Dogs UK stand. As a long-standing supporter of Guide Dogs UK, Rebecca wanted to hear more about their recent work.
Guide Dogs UK is the leading sight loss charity, helping people with sight loss navigate daily life. They are always looking for volunteers to help them in their incredible work. Fostering a future guide dog is a highly rewarding experience, helping to prepare them for their role supporting those who are blind or visually impaired.
Alongside fostering, there are many other ways you can get involved with Guide Dogs UK. You can volunteer as a puppy raiser, in the local community, with local fundraising groups, or help with campaigns.
Rebecca commented: “Since being elected to Parliament in 2010, animal welfare has been one of my top priorities. It was a pleasure to hear more about Guide Dogs UK’s fantastic work, and I am grateful to the charity and its volunteers for their commitment to ensuring blind and visually impaired people can live their lives to the fullest.”
