Last week, Rebecca visited Thundersley Men’s Shed to pick up a chair they repaired for her, along with a small box her Dad gave her as a girl, which they also carefully restored.
Rebecca said they had done a fantastic job on both and she is very grateful.
Thundersley Men’s Shed is a brilliant volunteer-run group where local retired men can come together to make, repair and repurpose things, learn new skills and enjoy some company. Based at The White House behind the Council Offices on Kiln Road, they're currently open on Mondays and Thursdays from 10am to 1pm.
If you have something that needs repairing, or you have practical skills and a bit of time to spare, do get in touch with them.
Rebecca wished to give a huge thank you to all the volunteers for the care they took with her things and for everything they do for our community.
