Last week, Rebecca helped celebrate the Borough's local finalists who were entered into this year's BBC Essex Make a Difference Awards.
Among them were, Jack Broomfield from Canvey Island, recognised as a finalist for the Volunteer Award, and Emma Powell from Benfleet, as a finalist for the Environmental Award.
Rebecca extended a huge well done to Tilly's Angels, who won the Animal Award. Some of their brilliant volunteers live in Castle Point, so Rebecca said it was fantastic to see their work recognised.
Rebecca commented: "We have so many people locally who give their time to help others and make our community better.
"I am very proud to see Castle Point so well represented. Congratulations to you all!"
