Rebecca recently visited the School of Hair and Beauty by Helen Jane on Furtherwick Road on the Island during their Grand Opening.
Alongside Her Worship, the Mayor of Castle Point, Rebecca met with Helen Jane and her wonderful team of staff and beauticians to find out about the courses on offer at the School and to tour the facilities.
Together, they got to hear from Helen to find out about the journey to getting the new facility open and plans for the future.
In particular, Helen said she was proud to offer courses to young people in the community, many of whom go on to build successful careers in the industry.
The school opens alongside the Helen Jane Beauty and Hair Salons, which are already a great success on the Island.
Rebecca said it was a wonderful opportunity to support another local business investing in our community.
She commented: "It is always encouraging to see people investing in our town, creating opportunities for local people and helping others develop new skills and careers.
