I have received an update from the NHS on restoring services at the Hollies Surgery building.
The previous contract holder has now surrendered the lease, which is an important step towards reopening the site in the near future. The NHS is finalising legal arrangements to allow a caretaker provider to operate from the building, with services expected to return once safety checks are complete.
The practice is also expected to reopen under a new name, Rectory Road Surgery, marking a fresh start for all their existing patients. No one will have to re-register.
I know how frustrating this situation has been for many patients. I will keep pressing the NHS to restore full GP services locally as quickly as possible and will share further updates when I receive them.
