🪖🎖️ Last Weekend I visited the Bay Museum's militaria exhibition at Canvey Heritage centre on Long Road.

The Exhibition was full of British military history and helps to keep the memory of those who have fought for our freedoms alive.

The highlight was meeting a local RAF veteran in his early nineties who still remembers his hand-to-hand combat training. He even showed that he has not lost his touch by almost flooring a man in his early thirties who he asked to test his skills. He took it very well and so did the veteran!

Thank you to the Canvey Heritage Centre, the Bay Museum team and all the volunteers who work so hard to preserve our local history. they do a fantastic job keeping our island's history alive.
