On Sunday Rebecca attended the Remembrance Sunday service at Canvey War Memorial at the Paddocks on Long Road, followed by the parade to the British Legion Club on Denham Road.
Ceremonies of remembrance also took place in Benfleet, Hadleigh, and Thundersley, where hundreds of people gathered to lay wreaths, reflect, and show our community’s gratitude.
Rebecca said: “It was very moving to see so many residents come together on this gorgeous sunny day to pay their respects and remember the bravery and sacrifice of those who served our country.
“Thank you to all the organisers, volunteers, and attendees for making these occasions so meaningful. It is a privilege to stand alongside so many local residents and honour the memories of those who gave so much for our freedom.
“Castle Point will not forget them.”
