🍸 This week, Rebecca welcomed G&I Spirit Group to the Houses of Parliament as part of a showcase of how Santander are helping small businesses export around the world.
The event showcased eight diverse small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), who exhibited their products and shared their stories of international trade and exporting to markets across the globe.
G&I are an award-winning, premium spirits brand and part of the same company that owns the La Quinta restaurant by Vic House Corner in Hadleigh. They sell a wide range of spirits, cocktails, vodka, gins and tequila, exporting to the USA, Trinidad & Tobago, India, Bahrain and are looking to export to more markets around the world.
You can find out more about their story and discover their extensive range of products by visiting their website: www.gi-spiritgroup.co.uk/.
After the event, Rebecca said: "It's always great to see a local business exporting around the world and was a pleasure to meet with G&I to hear about their success entering several international markets. I wish them all the best in taking their fantastic range even further and look forward to hearing of where they expand to next.
"It was also helpful to hear of some of the barriers they face, and what action they would like government to take – as well as the role of banks like Santander.
"Small businesses are crucial to our economy - both in Castle Point and nationally - driving investment, innovation and creating local jobs. We are lucky to have a number of superb small businesses in our community, boosting the economy and helping to forge our Castle Point identity."
