On Friday, I was invited to a computer sale event organised by Every Child Online at Cornelius Vermuyden School on Canvey.
This amazing Basildon based charity collects donations of old desktop and laptop computers, completely refurbishes them, and then sells them to for a few pounds to pupils and their parents who otherwise wouldn’t have access to a computer at home.
The charity, co-founded by Hadleigh resident, Mike Tabbard, has helped thousands of pupils and students get access to a computer for their homework and coursework.
They are always on the lookout for donations of both laptops and desktop hardware, so if you have an old computer somewhere in your home or business you have been looking to get rid of, make sure you get in touch with them.
Also if you or a family you know with school age children don’t have a computer at home for school work, please make sure you visit their website and get support here: https://everychildonline.co.uk
