Dame Rebecca Harris, Member of Parliament for Castle Point, recently attended an event in Parliament to mark Beautifully United, the 32nd Anniversary of The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign and the Pink Ribbon. 

At the event, Rebecca heard about new research commissioned by the company showing that nearly eight in ten women in the UK aren’t regularly checking their breasts, with self-checking rates lowest amongst South Asian women, black women and young women in the UK – one of the groups where there is an increase in cases.

Please regularly self-check, it can make such a big difference and if you do feel or see anything unusual please speak to your GP as soon as possible. Anything found early is far easier to treat with much better outcomes.”
