Well done to the officers of Essex Police - Castle Point District stationed at Canvey Police Station for hosting a fantastic open day today.

It was a great opportunity for local residents to learn about the work that the policing teams stationed there do in our community and see some of the kit that other specialist teams from across Essex, like the firearms and marine units, use in their work as well.

There was a fun treasure hunt for kids where they had to find clues dotted around the station forecourt, an opportunity to learn about personal safety and fingerprint taking, and even the opportunity to help tackle an officer in a soft protective suit playing the part of an assailant!
