Today, Rebecca Harris MP took the Chair of the Thames Estuary Growth Board, Kate Willard OBE, for a tour of Canvey Island.

Alongside other potential improvements for Canvey, they talked about the exciting news of the £20 million awarded to Canvey by the Government and the local business and community-led Towns Board that is being set up to allocate the money for local improvement projects.

This money has so much potential to improve the island and it is important that the new Board work with partners like the Thames Estuary Growth Board to deliver projects based on what local businesses and members of the local community want to see done.
