Last week, Rebecca Harris MP was invited to Canvey Thameside U3A to speak to their members on her work in Parliament as the local MP and her ceremonial responsibilities as ‘Comptroller of His Majesty’s Household’.

She commented: "It was fantastic to see so many members pack out St Nich’s Church Hall. I was made to feel very welcome and had a lovely time with the local members."

The Canvey Thameside U3A is a charity aimed at retired and semi-retired people who host lectures and activities on a huge range of subjects.
