A few days ago Rebecca met the new CEO of the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, Mr Mathew Hopkins.

She raised a number of issues with him including local waiting lists, requests for the standardisation of referral notices from GPs to different hospital departments, and transfer of patients out of hospital beds and into adult social care supervision.

Mr Hopkins shared news of new investments planned at the hospital and also about the successes of their local NHS Anchor Programme in the community.

Rebecca will continue to work with Mathew in the future as the Trust works to keep on improving patient care and capacity in our local NHS.
