Rebecca attended the Castle Point Community Allotment open day earlier this month where she had a chat with local Essex County Councillor, Andrew Sheldon, the Director of Active Essex, Jason Fergus, and the local Active Essex community representative in Castle Point, Tracy Bliss, about their ‘Able like Mabel’ campaign.
The aim of ‘Able like Mabel’ is to help older people weave small exercises that can be done around the house into their daily routine to improve mobility and general health.
You can find ‘Able like Mabel’ packs at all our local libraries that contain easy to follow activity cards and more information about how following doing even these small exercises could lead to big improvements in health.
