Last month Rebecca was part of a committee of MPs that agreed to further sanctions on the ruling regime in Belarus.

President Lukashenko continues to support Putin’s illegal war in Ukraine and these new sanctions are designed to financially punish the regime and restrict their ability to provide further support to Putin in the future.

Lukashenko’s regime also supports the global misinformation campaigns run by the Russian government about Ukraine. Rebecca also voted on new powers to restrict the ability of Belarusian state broadcasters and those acting for the regime to broadcast to internet users in the UK.
