"I was on the phone to the Head of Highways again this morning as the traffic lights at Waterside Farm broke again in the night!

If they can't fix this re-occurring fault today I have asked that the lights be put on 'fixed time flow' rather than working from the faulty traffic sensors until they find the source of the problem and fix it for good."

"I was contacted by a few residents this morning about the traffic lights at Waterside Farm today this morning spending ages on red and causing gridlock. I got on the phone to the Head of Highways at Essex County Council and asked him to send out someone ASAP to investigate. They sent out an engineer this morning and found that there had been a problem with the traffic sensors' electrical connection. I have been assured that it is being fixed this afternoon in time for the evening rush hour."
