On Sunday, Rebecca commented on the sad news of the passing of Anthony Humphreys:

"I was deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Anthony Humphreys last Tuesday.

A true Canvey character, the town centre won’t feel the same without him.

He was always smiling and full of energy and nothing it seems could stop him from having a good time! I will miss him being the life and soul of the party, and seeing his big grin.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and all his many friends at this difficult time."
