This weekend Rebecca Harris MP bumped into Essex Police Active Citizen volunteers Andy Sheldon and Kurt Hyland holding a beat surgery at the Co-Op in Tarpots on Sunday afternoon. They gave out crime prevention guides for homeowners, personal security alarms as well as free window alarms and light timers.

Essex Police Citizen Volunteers free up police man-hours that would be spent on raising community awareness, giving them more time to get out on the beat.
