🏥 Rebecca has been showing support for Havens Hospices and highlighted the growing pressure facing hospices because of the Government's increases in employer's National Insurance contributions and rising fuel costs.

Havens is an independent charity and relies heavily on the generosity of our local community. The vast majority of their funds are raised through donations, charity shops and fundraising events. Quite simply, this care would not exist without public support.

The most recent round of Government funding that hospices can bid for is for capital projects, like building improvements, and cannot be used to fund frontline care. With raising demands and costs, including fuel costs and the increase in employer's National Insurance contributions by the Government last year, this does not address the real pressures that hospices are facing.

Rebecca recently spoke on BBC Essex to show her support for Havens and to highlight these concerns. Rebecca has encouraged anyone who can to consider donating or getting involved to support the work of Havens.

You can donate directly or find out how you can support on their website: www.havenshospices.org.uk/support-us/.

Rebecca said: "Havens Hospices provide incredible support for local families when they face the most difficult of circumstances, caring for babies, children and adults with compassion, dignity and kindness. Their staff and facilities are truly amazing."

"If you are able to help, please consider donating or getting involved to support the work of this vital local charity."
