"I want to thank the people of our borough for placing their trust in me once again and for helping bring about the Conservative majority Government we have been waiting for.

I have always worked hard to be the kind if MP people told me they wanted. I am immensely proud to be representing Castle Point in Parliament again.

I am also very excited about the next five years. Without the Lib Dems we can do all the things we wanted to do in the last Parliament but simply didn't have the votes for, like have an EU Referendum and put in place even more measures to boost our economy and reward enterprise.

I want to renew my pledge to the people of Castle Point that I will always put them first and will continue to fight for the things that matter to them, like protecting Green Belt, campaigning for improved infrastructure including drainage and a third road, and supporting schools and local businesses."
