At the Conservative Party Conference last week, Rebecca Harris MP visited the Cancer Research UK stand to hear more about their current campaigns.
One of their most prominent campaigns, Unlock Cancer Breakthroughs, calls for faster clinical trials, unlocking global talent and spurring new investment. Cancer Research UK believe that removing barriers that are slowing down commercial and non-commercial trial set-up will allow for faster clinical trials and increased long term investment across all four UK nations.
Rebecca commented: “I am proud to support Cancer Research UK’s critical mission to improve outcomes for cancer patients. With 600 new cancer cases in Castle Point every year, this issue is incredibly important, and I will continue to campaign for better access to treatment research”.
