Castle Point MP Rebecca Harris recently met with UKHospitality in Parliament to discuss  new figures showing that hospitality is a significant part of the local economy in Castle Point, delivering £47 million to the economy as a whole and employing 2,110 people. This new data demonstrates the important role hospitality, leisure and tourism plays in our local community. She also discussed further business support ahead of the Autumn Statement in a few weeks time.

Nationally, hospitality contributes £93 billion to the UK economy and is the third largest employer in the country, providing 3.5 million people with jobs.

Rebecca Harris MP said: “Hospitality is key for our communities and I am pleased to see that it is contributing so much locally. They also informed me that our local businesses have vacancies available and so I would encourage anybody interested to apply and see the benefit of working in these exciting roles."
