Rebecca attended the 50th anniversary of the Canvey Island Royal British Legion Club on Denham Road.

The club always has a fundraiser to kick start poppy season but this one was extra special. It was great to see so many there enjoying the excellent entertainment and thanks to all those who took part in the raffle and auction.

The RBL does valuable work supporting veterans and their families across the UK, for example, they provide expert advice and guidance throughout ones journey to civilian life. This can range from emotional support to financial guidance.

Watch out for local Royal British Legion volunteers out and around our Borough at local supermarkets, high streets and Benfleet station and please remember to give generously!
