After a recent visit to Canvey Tip, Rebecca discovered the Community RePaint scheme, which collects good quality leftover paint from participating recycling centres, including Canvey Tip, and redistributes it to local charities, community groups and families who can make good use of it.
Residents can also pick up FREE PAINT for their projects or redecorating.
Rebecca promoted it as "a fantastic way to reduce waste, help local organisations and give perfectly usable paint a second life instead of sending it for disposal."
She addded: "If you’re having a clear-out or finishing off some decorating this summer, it’s well worth remembering."
The scheme is based locally at Canvey Recycling Centre, SS8 0QX and is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, 9am to 4pm Sunday.
