Castle Point MP Rebecca Harris has met with the Chief Constable of Essex Police, B J Harrington to discuss local concerns about crime in Castle Point. She also discussed future plans for strategic policing in Essex and planned increases in the deployment of officers.

Speaking about the meeting in Rebecca’s constituency office in Benfleet, Rebecca said:

“We spoke at great length about anti-social behaviour and business crime locally and I was very pleased to hear about the success of the recent recruitment drive for officers. I am also pleased that there will be a greater emphasis on increasing patrols in our local town centres.”
