🏅🏐🎾 On Saturday I attended one of my favourite annual events, the City of Southend Lions Club annual sports day for those with disabilities, at the King John School.
The Sports Day gave the 120 competitors the opportunity to take part in a variety of sports and activities including yoga, arts & crafts, javelin, discus, target golf, shot put, basketball, table tennis -v- robot, new age curling, bags in buckets, bowls and Sticky Balls!
For the past 15 years I've got to run around and help give out the medals and I get quite the workout myself!
A huge well done to all those who took part, to all those who helped organise this great event and to the carers who came along to cheer on their friends and family members.
The biggest well done has to go to The Phoenix Club of Canvey Island who beat all the other teams to be this year's winner of the Team Cup. Congratulations to you all!
