On Saturday Rebecca joined Wyvern Community Transport Trust at their volunteer event.
The event was held at the the White House behind the Council offices. The Mayor of Castle Point and Mark Francois MP were also in attendance.
Wyvern provide door to door community transport for residents who might otherwise struggle to get out and about. Whether it be helping people reach medical appointments, shops or social activities, Wyvern is a lifeline for many to stay connected.
Volunteers are at the heart of the service, as drivers and passenger assistants, and even a small amount of time can make a big difference.
Rebecca has encouraged anyone who can to find out more and help this local non-profit organisation. More information can be found at their website: https://wyvernct.org.uk/
Following the event, Rebecca commented: "Helping those in need to get out and about, to help maintain their independence, really can be a lifeline for many in Castle Point."
"Thank you to everyone at Wyvern for a great event and for the vital work you do for our community."
