On Friday, Rebecca visited Canvey Primary School & Nursery for their grand opening celebration assembly.
While Canvey Infants and Juniors have been teaching pupils on the Island for many years, the two have now amalgamated and have been operating as Canvey Primary School & Nursery since September.
Rebecca joined the school during a special assembly for all those who have helped get the school up and running in its new form.
After hearing from the brilliant headteacher, Sally Townsley, the students at Canvey Primary told the story of the school and there were even performances from the infant and junior choirs. They really put on a fantastic show!
After the opening, Rebecca commented: "A big thank you to all those in the community who have got the school up and running in its new form. I have every faith that Ms Townsley and the team will provide an amazing start for all their students for years to come."
