Canvey School Uniform Bank had its grand re-opening last week in its brand new home in a purpose built cabin at the rear of Our lady of Canvey & The English Martyrs RC Church (the White Church) on Long Road.
The uniform bank offers good quality, reusable school uniform, shoes, trainers, football boots and coats to those who need them.
Opening times 🕒:
- Wednesdays: 10am - 1pm
- 1st Saturday of every month: 10am - 1pm
They are always grateful for donations of clean uniform, footwear, coats and raffle prizes. Rebecca has extended her huge thanks to the volunteers who give their time to keep this going, the Church and the St Vincent De Paul Society for supporting them.
After the grand re-opening, Rebecca said: "I was pleased to be able to put the uniform bank volunteers in touch with Calor, who gave a large donation to make sure the move went ahead. It also would not have been possible without generous grants from Canvey Rotary Club, Canvey Town Council and the Essex County Council Members Fund.
"A simple community project that makes a real difference for families on Canvey."
