Last week, I attended an event in Parliament hosted NHS Blood & Transplant to hear more about their work and encourage more people to sign up to save a life. 

Donating blood is simple and each donation can save up to three lives. Blood is constantly needed to help the NHS treat patients with cancer, blood disorders and those undergoing surgery. NHS Blood Donation need 5,000 donations every single day to ensure patients and hospitals have the blood they need, with a particularly urgent need to boost stocks of O negative and B negative blood.
