On Saturday, Rebecca attended the Armed Forces Day Service and Parade on Canvey Island to honour the brave men and women of our armed forces.

Despite the reported heat wave, a parade of veterans and current armed forces, uniformed youth and dignitaries and youth organisations marched through the town centre followed by a service of celebration outside the Paddocks Community Centre where an Armed Forces exhibition of memorabilia was on display in the Feelgood suite.

Following the event, Rebecca stated: "Castle Point has always been very proud of the brave men and women of our armed forces. A massive thank you to the organisers and to those who took part in the parade. I also want to say a massive thank you to every single veteran and current serving member of our armed forces!"
