Rebecca has praised the fantastic progress being made on the new special school sixth form building at Glenwood School in Thundersley.
The new sixth form will have spaces for 50 pupils and is due to be completed later this Spring.
The multi-million pound investment is set to make a real difference locally. The main building has been completed and workers are about to start fitting the interior.
Pupils, staff, Essex County Councillors Bev Egan and Andrew Sheldon, and the builders marked the moment by signing an interior wall panel before fitting began.
The new sixth form will give more local children with special educational needs the space and support they need to build confidence, learn life skills and prepare for adulthood.
Rebecca commented: "This is hugely important for families across Castle Point...
"Thank you and well done to everyone involved in delivering this project. I am looking forward to seeing it completed and in use very soon."
