🏫🌳 Rebecca recently paid a visit to South Benfleet Primary School to speak with students and answer questions on the future of the green belt in Castle Point.
The students were keen to discuss what they had been learning in class and ask questions about how we can protect the invaluable green spaces in our community.
As a matter that is so critical to the future of our area, Rebecca was impressed with the students' ardent interest in how we can preserve the constituency's countryside and green areas which we all cherish.
Pupils also got to chat about what its like to be their local MP and had some excellent questions about Rebecca's work in Parliament, how laws are made and the big local issues that matter to them.
Finally, Rebecca had the pleasure of meeting the newly elected School Councillors who had some very creative ideas and were enthusiastic to represent their classmates in making a positive difference to their school.
After the visit, Rebecca said: "It's always a pleasure to meet such bright, curious young people who clearly care about their community.
"Thank you to all the pupils and their teachers for making me feel so very welcome! I have no doubt there are a few future MPs and community leaders amongst them."
