Rebecca Harris and Councillor Chas Mumford visited Canvey Library to recycle some of their broken electrics.
Rebecca Harris said: “It's easy to recycle broken and unwanted small electrical items. Small electronic appliances can be taken to any library in Castle Point and 97% of the materials can be used to make something new!”

These items can be taken to any library in Castle Point (Benfleet, Canvey Island, Hadleigh or Tarpots) or place smaller items in any of the textile banks around the borough:
- All electronic devices (e.g. Phones, mobile phones, computers, printers,remote controls, chargers, radios, VCRs, digiboxes, speakers, hi-fi units, electronic toys and more...)
- All electrical personal care (e.g. Hairdryers, hair straighteners, electric toothbrushes,hair trimmers, shavers, hair curlers, facial saunas, power showers and more...)
- All electrical appliances (e.g. Kettles, toasters, irons, blenders, sandwich toasters,coffee machines, whisks, bread makers, electric
