This week, Rebecca has joined fellow Conservatives in calling for a strengthening of Britain's Armed Forces, more support for veterans and proper funding for national security.
This comes the week that Labour's Defence Secretary, John Healey, has quit his post, saying that Kier Starmer's defence plans "fall well short" of what Britain needs.
The Government was supposed to unveil its Defence Investment Plan last year, but has so far failed to announce what spending it will commit to our Armed Forces. It was finally set to be released this week, but has been delayed further following Healey's resignation.
Alongside Conservative Leader Kemi Badenoch, Rebecca has been raising concerns over Britain's defence readiness. With war on two global fronts, the Conservatives have argued that this should be a top priority for the Government.
Commenting, Rebecca said: "With war continuing in Ukraine and growing instability in the Middle East, we need a Government focused on strengthening our Armed Forces, supporting our veterans and properly funding our national security.
"Defending the realm is the first duty of any Government. Labour need to stop dithering and put Britain’s security first"
