CAVS are delighted to introduce their new Social Prescription service, CAVS Ways to Wellness, which is now fully operational in the Castle Point and Rochford area.
The service, launched on 1st March, is funded by Castle Point and Rochford CCG, and is designed to help improve the health and wellbeing of local residents by linking them to resources in the community.
Open to anyone over the age of 18 and living in the area, CAVS Ways to Wellness has a comprehensive directory of local services including:
- community transport
- social clubs
- support groups
- parent and child services
- volunteering
- information and advice
Individuals can self-refer or be referred by their GP. If you’d prefer to speak to someone in person, CAVS Ways to Wellness have scheduled regular outreach sessions on a monthly basis at libraries at Canvey, Benfleet, Hadleigh, Rayleigh, Rochford and at the Great Wakering Medical centre.
CAVS Ways to Wellness is pleased to have the support of local MP, Rebecca Harris. On visiting the offices at the Tyrells Centre recently, Rebecca Harris said,
“The Ways to Wellness scheme is a fantastic project. It is so important that anyone with mental health problems receives the very fullest support. I am proud that CAVS have launched such a worthwhile scheme for residents.”
